This ad bump was created as student work in Adobe After Effects utilizing static images and After Effects tools to create the illusion of movement. It is based off of the original pilot episode for Star Trek, The Original Series: "The Cage." The original series initially aired on NBC in 1966, though "The Cage" was not released in it's entirety until the 80's, after a second pilot episode was ordered in 1966. This is a reimagining of an ad bump, had "The Cage" have been the actual first episode aired.
