Pantry Politics
Period drama novel cover created for fun. I have supplied the print set up copy along with mock-ups of both physical and eBook copies. The concept was to provide a period drama/romance set at the turn of the 20th century about the gossip between maids until one of the maids finds love above her station and becomes mixed in the scandal herself. I chose the green damask “wallpaper” to reference the arsenic green regularly used in decoration at the time. I left the women in shadow to demonstrate the idea of whispered secrets. I chose pale pink as a compliment to the green and to hint at the romance.
History in the Making
An imagined non-fiction historical analysis of race relations in America. I sourced images from the national archives and my own photographs of the Kennesaw BLM 2020 march for this cover.
Humanoid
An imagined Sci-fi thriller I came up
with the name first thinking about the uncanny valley effect. After I found the royalty free image, I came up with the
tag line. This book cover came easiest
to me as a sci-fi thriller fan. I enjoyed
the complimentary colors of the image so chose to carry those over to the
text to tie everything together. Due to
the proportions of the image I did have to edit the cover a bit to create the eBook version.
